Basic qualifications
Experience as procurement/purchasing analyst, or other operational role within a procurement organization
Experience in supply chain
Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)

Data Center Services Procurement supports Data Center Global Services in obtaining the best services at the lowest costs, and manages the full “Supplier Lifecycle” including Strategic Sourcing and Intake, Onboarding, Solicitations, Spending and Transaction Policy (S&TP) Compliance, Contract management, Supplier Development, and portions of requisitioning and payment operations.

We are seeking a Procurement professional to support procurement operational support for the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) data center construction space.

As a Procurement Operations Specialist, you will work with the procurement category managers in creating and supporting procurement projects and operations. Operations include: supplier qualifications, request for proposals, vendor performance dashboards for construction ,due diligence, preparing operations reports, supplier data maintenance activities. Projects include: process automation, cycle time improvements, and reporting metrics. You will also provide input on procurement processes and tools to help identify waste and enable innovation across teams.

Key job responsibilities
  • Independently and cross-functionally deliver on projects/goals.
  • Lead process improvement projects for procurement operations. Project manage implementation and engage stakeholders.
  • Manage assigned supplier onboarding and qualification processes.
  • Manage assigned tender events, and related follow-on contract generation supporting the category manager.
  • Identify dashboard requirements for metrics reporting and identify opportunities for process improvement and develop training documentation.
  • Support Procurement Category Managers managing category business processes such as business reviews, supplier performance measurement or ad hoc projects as needed.

About the team
We are an EMEA team focused on delivering procurement operations for our customer. Our work helps enable AWS to stay the leader and build the rapidly expanding data center computing industry.

Our mission is to identify operational process waste, introduce efficiencies, and make improvements in the procurement process whenever possible. You would help us deliver on this every day by identifying opportunities and leading projects. Our customers are internal construction managers, engineers, and category managers. We will solve how to make the procurement operations more efficient for them. We are a diverse team and value input from all of our members.

Preferred qualifications
Experience in data mining
Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field
Experience in program or project management
