Procurement Specialist

About the role:

· Lead and support raw material and packaging procurement

· Examine, select, and purchase materials at the most favourable price consistent with quality, quantity, specification and other requirements.

· Ensure materials and products are received on time and intact, and in the quality and at the cost agreed upon with the client.

· Carry out an optimised inventory control to not only ensure sufficient and punctual material supply but maintain a minimised slow moving stock level

· Look for opportunities to reduce cost (without compromising on quality)

· Resolve complaints and claims against suppliers

· Provide operational and administrative support activities

About you:

· Tertiary qualification desirable

· Practical experience in supply-chain operations or procurement

· Knowledge of pharmaceutical or nutraceutical operation

· Experience in food processing environments

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Interpersonal skills and team player

· Ability to analyse risks, anticipate challenges and plan mitigation
