Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Supply Chain Specialist to manage procurement and inventory functions within our organization. This role is key to ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services, maintaining optimal inventory levels, and enhancing the overall efficiency of our supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vendor negotiation, contract management, and supply chain optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process, from identifying suppliers to order fulfillment.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements to secure the best terms.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and ensure compliance with contract terms.
- Monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies to maintain adequate stock and avoid shortages or overages.
- Collaborate with internal departments to understand and support their purchasing needs.
- Conduct market analysis to identify new vendors and cost-saving opportunities.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records, pricing data, and supplier information.
- Resolve supplier-related issues, including delays, discrepancies, or quality concerns.
- Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
- Implement inventory control strategies to optimize stock levels and reduce carrying costs.
- Perform regular inventory audits and adjust plans based on trends and seasonal fluctuations.
- Identify inefficiencies within the supply chain and implement process improvements.
- Streamline procurement and fulfillment workflows to improve productivity and service levels.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in procurement, inventory control, or supply chain management.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Proficiency in enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Solid understanding of supply chain concepts and best practices.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
