Davis SuperValu, Longford is currently recruiting a Produce Assistant to join our fresh foods team. This role focuses on the fruit and vegetable section, ensuring high-quality presentation, freshness, and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Stock, and rotate fresh fruit and vegetables
- Ensure produce displays are attractive, well-organised, and fully stocked
- Monitor product quality and remove any damaged or out-of-date items
- Maintain high hygiene and food safety standards
- Assist customers with product queries and provide helpful advice
- Ensure proper storage of fresh produce
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail or fresh food handling is an advantage
- Knowledge of fruit and vegetables is desirable
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible availability, early morning shift including weekends
- Positive attitude and good teamwork skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From €14.15 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
