Job Overview
As a Produce Clerk, you will play a vital role in ensuring our customers have access to fresh and high-quality produce. Your responsibilities will include maintaining the produce section, assisting customers with their selections, and ensuring that the area is clean and well-organized. This position requires excellent customer service skills and a passion for helping others.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting fresh produce items.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the produce section, ensuring all items are properly displayed.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist in restocking shelves as necessary.
• Operate cash registers and handle transactions accurately.
• Communicate product information to customers, including pricing and promotions.
• Sell produce items effectively while providing exceptional customer service.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations regarding food handling.
• Assist in training new staff members on best practices for produce handling and customer service.

Skills

• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with a diverse clientele.
• Organizational skills to maintain an orderly and appealing produce display.
• Experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred.
• Ability to operate a forklift safely (if applicable).
• A commitment to cleanliness and maintaining high standards in food safety.
• Capability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
