Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Produce/Deli Clerk to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the produce and deli sections, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers. Duties

• Prepare fresh sandwiches, pizzas, wraps, and other ready-to-eat food items according to company standards
• Slice, cut, and prepare fresh fruits and vegetables, including melons
• Package and label fresh herbs, produce, and prepared food products for retail sale
• Ensure all food preparation areas follow proper food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Stock, rotate, and refill produce, deli, and refrigerated display shelves as needed
• Monitor product freshness and remove damaged or expired items
• Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary workstations, coolers, and display areas
• Provide friendly and professional customer service when assisting customers
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure daily tasks are completed efficiently
• Support general store cleanliness, organization, and tidiness at all times
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service is preferred
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively
• Basic organizational skills to manage stock levels and maintain a tidy department
• Knowledge of safety procedures related to food handling and equipment operation
• Willingness to perform cleaning duties to uphold hygiene standards
• Good communication skills for teamwork and customer interactions
• Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including weekends and holidays if required
