Product Designer (Ui/Ux)

We are hiring a UI/UX Designer to join our growing software products team. This is a founding design role: you will be the first dedicated designer embedded in the team, working across a portfolio of developer-facing tools used by embedded software engineers and power electronics designers worldwide.

Your Role

Key responsibilities in your new role

• Own end-to-end UX design across a portfolio of developer tools cloud-hosted environments, browser-based simulation and design tools, IDE extensions, and a developer-facing web platform
• Run continuous discovery: user interviews, usability tests, and workflow mapping with embedded engineers and power electronics designers as your primary users
• Apply and extend Infineon's established design language across the developer tools portfolio translating brand standards into new product contexts, interaction patterns, and edge cases that the core brand system does not yet cover
• Deliver from concept to shipped product: sketches, interaction flows, high-fidelity Figma prototypes, and design QA in collaboration with engineering
• Use AI-assisted prototyping tools to accelerate early design exploration rapidly generating and validating interaction concepts before committing to high-fidelity work
• Present design rationale clearly to product managers, engineers, and senior stakeholders framing design decisions in terms of user outcomes and business impact, not aesthetic preference
• Be the voice of the user in every product decision advocating for simplicity, speed, and zero unnecessary friction at every stage of the developer experience

Your Profile

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

• 10+ years of UI/UX design experience, with a portfolio that demonstrates depth in complex software tools or developer-facing products not just visual polish, but systems thinking and measurable outcomes
• Deep proficiency in Figma component libraries, design tokens, auto-layout, prototyping, developer handoff
• Proven experience using AI-assisted prototyping and design tools to accelerate ideation and concept validation
• Experience in cross-functional product teams (PM + design +engineering) with fast iteration cycles.
• Strong information architecture skills you can simplify complexometric-mode products into clear, navigable experiences
• Ability to independently lead design from brief to shipped feature, including managing stakeholder feedback and engineering constraints.
• Comfort with technical products you do not need to write code, but you need to understand the workflows of engineers who do

Preferred:

• Background in B2D (business-to-developer) product design: developer portals, IDE tooling, cloud development environments, or technical SaaS.
• Familiarity with VS Code extension UX patterns and constraints.
• Experience with structured usability research: moderated testing, task analysis, cognitive walkthroughs.
• Exposure to embedded systems, electronics design tools, or engineering simulation software.
