The Opportunity

We are looking for a Product Manager at Hitachi Energy, Grid Integration business. This role can be located anywhere in Finland (remote working), depending on the experience of the selected candidate. However, the preferred location is in Vaasa.

The business line designs and delivers complete HV&MV substations for distribution and transmission grids. In close co-operation with customer and other Hitachi Energy teams we deliver solutions to many segments, like renewables, battery energy storages, datacenters, industry, utilities and green hydrogen sector. We are offering an interesting position in an international project environment.

As a Product Manager for E-Houses, you will be responsible for managing the entire product life cycle, for overseeing the development and delivery of E-House as a product from conceptualising to delivery and improvement. You will work closely with various teams such as product management, marketing, sales, engineering, project management, finance, supply chain and site team to ensure the product's development aligns with the company's goals and meets customer needs, both in the operating unit and collaborating with the global Grid eXpand team.

In this position you will be accountable for the product's success, including strategy, development and sales roadmap, and business case. This position is a newly created strategic role that is meant to enhance the concepts and capabilities of Hitachi Energy’s team in Finland by integrating E-House solutions to the Grid eXpand offering portfolio, in collaboration and alignment with the global Product Management team. How You'll Make an Impact

  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis, and seek market input for product improvement and future E-House developments. In alignment with M&S, ensure correct pricing is applied.
  • Create and maintain a product roadmap that outlines the product's future direction. Own the technical and market specification and determine the business plan with operation model that supports sustainable growth.
  • Use data and analytics to evaluate market potential and customer needs, assess the product's performance, measure key metrics, and make informed decisions to improve the product.
  • Collaborate with Hitachi Energy Global Product Management, and continuously develop product management processes and tools.
  • Communicate and align on strategy, product planning and status updates to management and other stakeholders.
  • Act as an interface between external market, internal functions and global Grid eXpand team, set targets, and monitor product costs.

Your background

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Product Manager or in a similar role.
  • Understanding of product lifecycle management.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of E-houses and medium voltage switchgears is seen as an advantage.
  • Good verbal and written skills in Finnish or Swedish, and English. Other language skills (e.g., Danish) are considered as an advantage.
