Product Manager SME

Do you want to create products that truly meet customer needs? As Product Manager for Small and Medium Enterprises (SME), you’ll play a key role in digitalizing our insurance offerings and shaping how we serve our customers. Your role will be to identify which product and pricing improvements will deliver the greatest value. You’ll do this through collaboration with Sales, analyzing our portfolio data and market trends, and leveraging data-driven insights.

About the role

You’ll join a Nordic team within Product & Underwriting Commercial, dedicated to building insurance solutions that drive growth in the SME segment. Success in this role requires a holistic view of insurance, deep customer understanding, and the ability to gather insights from across the organization. We ultimately decide how we should insure Nordic SMEs, how the offering is packaged and sold, and to what price.

You’ll prioritize competing initiatives, maximize customer value with available resources, and collaborate with experts across If to develop innovative solutions. Since both the team and our SME offering are new, you’ll have a unique opportunity to shape how we work and build products that truly reflect customer needs.

About the team

In this team, you will be part of new and exciting initiatives that will take If towards Digital Leadership. Our insurances are one important part of this, and you will be expected to consider the digital aspect of the solutions you develop. Digital development alone however will not be the only thing that makes us succeed. For is to stay relevant you will need to consider what services we should provide to our customers to become their risk management partner of choice.

Who are you?

As Product Manager for SME, we think the following will describe you well. You have

proven track record of leading projects with cross functional project members and stakeholders and engaging people to succeed with you
reassuring and pedagogical communication skills in English and Finnish, comfortable communicating numbers, insights and recommendations both written and verbally
a passion for building customer centric solutions
at least 3-5 years of experience working with data driven decision making
a higher education (minimum Bachelor) within for example mathematics, statistics, engineering or economics

Bonus if you have

Familiarity with a programming language like R, SAS, Python, Scala, SQL or similar
Work experience from insurance or finance and you are comfortable with the insurance business model
