With more than 3.5 million gift sets sold each year in France and Europe, Smartbox group is the European leader in experience gifts.

For nearly 20 years, we have been developing thousands of experiences to offer and as many great moments to live. From the most iconic to the most unusual, Smartbox's mission is to allow everyone to offer their loved ones the possibility of living unique experiences.

Smartbox is a gift with a difference, one that celebrates the growing value of the real experience, both increasingly rare and increasingly precious to the French. Especially among young people, for whom life is also digital, the real experience is increasingly sought after when the acquisition of material goods makes less and less sense.

Offering a Smartbox means offering sensations. Alone or with a partner, with family or friends, whether the experience is exciting, enriching, soothing, surprising, or delicious, whether it is lived close to home or whether it allows you to discover new horizons, Smartbox offers the emotion of a moment lived.

Smartbox is a ready-to-give experience that can be found on our website smartbox.com, at our online partners and in more than 17,500 points of sale, Smartbox boutiques, department stores, supermarkets and specialist retailers.

Summary:

This is an opportunity for a Product Owner looking for a new and exciting challenge.
Smartbox is a multicultural and fast-paced environment, so if this sounds like your kind of workplace, you might be the perfect fit.

The successful candidate will have a passion for product management, experience working with teams through the full cycle of product development — from research & validation, requirements & design, delivery & measurement — and ultimately delivering clear value outcomes for customers. They will lead their squad to build the right solutions iteratively to bring our products and services to the next level.

We are looking for someone who has hands-on experience with experimentation and data-driven decision-making, including A/B testing and hypothesis validation. A strong background in product growth — with a focus on customer acquisition, engagement, and retention — is essential. Experience using or integrating AI tools to enhance product development, automate tasks, or improve customer insights will be a distinct advantage.

Requirements:

This role will report to the Head of Product for eCommerce and have responsibility for the below:

  • Drive continuous improvement in our product offerings, features, and CX/UX
  • Work with internal business teams & Technology teams, alongside your Product colleagues to meet and exceed the OKRs and revenue targets set out for the eComm Team
  • Create and deliver the product roadmap and determine requirements for each initiative based on user requirements, technical architecture, and business needs
  • Produce and communicate product requirements using Agile methodologies, including requirement specifications, user stories, wireframes & prototypes, and ensure they are backed by customer insights and data-informed decision-making
  • Create and maintain a backlog of initiatives and execute this through A/B testing, experimentation frameworks, data analysis, and validation of underlying hypotheses and business cases
  • Apply a growth mindset to product development — using data, experimentation, and customer feedback to identify and scale what works
  • Monitor and analyse customer behaviour and product performance throughout and after every initiative through experimentation and measurement against KPIs, to ensure that our technology investments are successful
  • Leverage AI tools and technologies to enhance workflows, improve decision-making, automate manual tasks, and accelerate the speed of delivery — always with a focus on driving value quickly for the customer
  • Actively explore and adopt emerging AI solutions (e.g., for user behaviour analysis, content generation, predictive analytics, or operational efficiency) to move fast, test more effectively, and continuously optimise our products

Qualities:

We value ‘solution-seekers’, rather than ‘problem spotters’ and we love a positive attitude - people who want to make the most of every day and situation with a belief that we can always find ways to do things better. And people who see the positives in others. We also always appreciate a good sense of humour and vibrant energy. Ideally you will possess these attitudes by the bucket- load and have:

  • Customer-centric mindset — relentlessly focused on solving real user problems and delivering measurable value
  • Strong collaboration skills — able to influence and align stakeholders across product, design, engineering, and commercial teams
  • Excellent communication — translates complex ideas into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strategic thinking — balances short-term delivery with long-term product vision and scalability
  • Prioritisation under pressure — makes smart trade-offs and adapts plans quickly in response to data and changing priorities
  • Agile leadership — energises cross-functional teams to deliver iteratively and learn continuously
  • AI curiosity and literacy — stays informed about emerging AI capabilities and experiments boldly with new tools
