About Stingray Labs

Stingray Labs is a legal technology venture studio based in Kerry, Ireland. We design, build, and operate technology platforms that modernise how legal services are delivered - from conveyancing and property transactions to compliance and client onboarding.
The legal industry is undergoing a profound transformation, driven by advances in automation, data, and artificial intelligence. At Stingray Labs, we are at the forefront of this shift, embedding AI and intelligent workflows into our platforms to improve speed, accuracy, and client experience in a traditionally manual, high-trust sector.
Our flagship platform, Beam, is a live and growing digital conveyancing service for mortgage purchases and switches. We are also building SaleReady, a property sale preparation platform preparing for its first major trial with a nationwide estate agency, and LawComply, an AML/KYC compliance and onboarding platform used across our ecosystem.
We are a small, high-impact team. Every person here shapes what we build and how we grow. This is your chance to join at a formative stage and make your mark across multiple products in a regulated, rapidly evolving industry.

The Role

We are looking for a Product Owner / Product Designer to work closely with the Head of Product and the development team across our three platforms. This is a hands-on, hybrid role that blends product ownership with product design - you will define what we build and how it looks and feels.

The right candidate will be comfortable moving between writing clear requirements and user stories, designing intuitive user interfaces and workflows, conducting user research and usability testing, and collaborating daily with developers to ship features. You do not need to be a specialist in both disciplines - we are looking for someone with genuine strength in one area and a real aptitude for the other.

What You Will Do

Product Ownership

  • Translate product vision and stakeholder concepts into clear, development-ready specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Own and maintain backlogs across Beam, SaleReady, and LawComply in Jira, ensuring priorities are clear and sequenced.
  • Work directly with developers during sprints - answering questions, reviewing output, and making trade-off decisions in real time.
  • Define and refine workflows for complex, regulated processes such as conveyancing, AML onboarding, and property sale preparation.
  • Coordinate cross-platform dependencies, particularly where shared technical resources are involved.

Product Design

  • Design user interfaces and interaction flows for client-facing portals, broker tools, and internal dashboards.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups using Figma or equivalent tools.
  • Conduct user research, interviews, usability testing, and feedback sessions.
  • Establish and maintain a coherent design system across platforms to ensure visual consistency.
  • Design for real users in a regulated industry - where clarity, accessibility, and trust matter most.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Work closely with the Head of Product and co-founders to translate high-level concepts into actionable plans.
  • Participate in sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives.
  • Contribute to stakeholder reporting, demo preparation, and user-facing content where design input adds value.
  • Help bridge the gap between business requirements and technical execution.

What We Are Looking For

Essential

  • 2+ years of experience in a product ownership, product design role.
  • Demonstrable ability to write clear product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Strong visual design sense and experience creating wireframes, prototypes, or finished UI designs.
  • Proficiency with design tools such as Figma.
  • Experience working in agile/scrum teams alongside software developers.
  • Excellent communication skills - able to articulate product decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • A genuine interest in building products that solve real problems for real users.

Desirable

  • Experience in legal technology, property technology (proptech), financial services, or compliance/regtech.
  • Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, or similar project management tools.
  • Understanding of conveyancing, AML/KYC, or property transaction processes.
  • Experience with design systems and component-based design approaches.
  • Portfolio or examples of shipped product work (design and/or requirements documentation).
  • Exposure to data analysis and using metrics to inform product decisions.
  • A background in or understanding of the Irish legal or property market is a significant advantage.

Why a career a Stingray Labs?

  • Early-stage impact: You will shape products from the ground up.
  • Multi-product exposure: Work across multiple distinct platforms - rare breadth for a single role.
  • Meaningful domain: Legal services directly affect people’s most significant life events - buying homes, protecting assets, and meeting regulatory obligations.
  • Flexible working: Kerry-based with hybrid/remote flexibility.
  • Growth trajectory: As the company grows, this role grows with it. Early hires set the culture and standards.

Please send your CV, and if available, a portfolio or examples of your work to careers@letsbeam.ie. In your cover note, tell us which side of this role - product ownership or product design - is your stronger suit, and give us one example of a product problem you solved.
