The Role
We’re looking for an experienced Superannuation professional to join the Corporate Office team as a Product Specialist. Acting as conduit for all NGS business units, you will work closely with the Executive Manager, Strategy and Product to oversee the Fund’s group insurance product through proactive product reporting and monitoring.

You will gather technical product requirements to understand business needs and engage with internal subject matter experts to assist with the delivery of product initiatives, while ensuring that product governance processes are followed and excellent member outcomes are achieved.

What you’ll do

  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective management of the group insurance product.
  • Provide technical product content input to marketing, disclosure, and other relevant communications.
  • Provide ongoing product reporting and monitoring on appropriateness of products and services, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure new products, systems and processes are embedded in the business in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Understand the competitive landscape through assessment of market data and monitoring of developments, using this knowledge to build and maintain a competitor database.
About you
With expertise in Superannuation or Insurance and a member-first mindset, you will bring the following key skills:

  • Specific experience in Group Insurance product management and development.
  • Demonstrated experience in analysis and creative problem solving.
  • Proven communication skills, with both experience in delivering verbal presentations and written reports.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder management capabilities and the ability to build rapport at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Current and sound knowledge of the superannuation industry, regulatory and legislative frameworks.
  • Ideally RG146 compliant.
The following skills are nice to have but not essential:
  • Exposure to product management/development in all aspects of product in the superannuation environment (investments, super, pension and insurance) able to add value to existing business processes.
  • Experience in the management and analysis of large data sets using appropriate technology platforms.
