At Unravel, we’re not building another travel platform — we’re rewriting how the world discovers and books travel. Think TikTok meets Expedia, powered by cutting-edge Generative AI. Our shoppable video platform is already live with the world’s top 10 banks, insurers, telcos, and airlines.
We are backed by renowned VCs like Nauta Capital, Active Partners, Antler, and The Players Fund, and led by AI pioneers and ex-Booking.com executives. We’ve quadrupled our revenue in the past year, and we’re just getting started.
For engineers, Unravel offers the best of both worlds: the excitement of a fast-growing startup and the opportunity to build mission-critical systems from the ground up. You’ll help create low-latency search infrastructure, scale supplier integrations across hotels, chains, and experiences, and develop real-time personalization and ranking engines that shape how millions of people book travel. Every feature you ship directly impacts reliability, conversion, and customer experience at global scale.
If you’re the kind of builder who ships fast, obsesses over quality, and wants to shape the next generational tech company, Unravel offers the ideal environment. You’ll work closely with product and growth leadership, own your work end-to-end, and help define the technical backbone of a global platform.

About the Role
We’re looking for a Product Trainee: UAT & Product Validation who is obsessed with user experience and product quality.
You will act as the voice of the user inside the product team, testing features the way customers actually use them, identifying UX gaps, confusing flows, visual inconsistencies, and edge cases before anything goes live.
This role is ideal for someone early in their career who:
- Thinks like a product manager
- Notices UI details others miss
- Gets frustrated by bad UX and broken flows
- Enjoys breaking things the way users do
You’ll work closely with Product, Design, and Engineering to test new features, monitor product behavior in production, and catch potential issues early. You'll play a key role in ensuring every feature release is polished, stable, and scalable.
What You’ll Do
- Validate Product from a User’s Perspective (UAT):
- Test new features end-to-end across web and mobile as a real user would.
- Validate complete user journeys: discovery selection checkout post-booking.
- Identify confusing flows, missing states, broken interactions, or UX friction.
- Own UI/UX Quality:
- Check visual consistency, spacing, responsiveness, copy clarity, error messages, and edge cases.
- Ensure features feel intuitive, polished, and aligned with product and design intent.
- Catch What Typical Testing Misses:
- Test beyond “does it work?” “does it make sense?”
- Actively look for real-world usage issues, unexpected behavior, and corner cases.
- Log Clear, Product-Focused Issues:
- Create concise, actionable tickets with context, screenshots, and exact reproduction steps.
- Clearly describe user impact, not just technical behavior.
- Build Validation Playbooks:
- Maintain lightweight UAT checklists and validation flows that help the team ship consistently high-quality releases.
- Collaborate with QA Without Duplicating Them:
- Work closely with the QA team to share UX findings, edge cases, and real-world user scenarios uncovered during UAT.
- Complement backend and test-case coverage by validating product behavior from a user and design perspective.
- Help prioritize issues based on user impact and experience quality, not just technical severity.
- Explore automated testing and lightweight processes to help scale testing and feature releases, working with engineering and technical teams where needed.
What We’re Looking For
- Must-Haves
- 1-2 years of experience in product teams, in any early-career product role.
- Strong instinct for user journeys, usability, and frontend behavior across web and mobile.
- Ability to think in flows, not just features, understanding how users move end-to-end through a product.
- High attention to detail in UI, copy, interactions, and edge cases.
- Comfortable working with tools like JIRA, Slack, and basic browser developer tools.
- Curious, proactive, and eager to learn how great products are built and shipped.
- Nice-to-Have (Not Required)
- Any exposure to UAT, usability testing, UX audits, or product validation (formal experience not mandatory).
- Understanding of analytics, event tracking, or funnel behavior.
- Prior experience in e-commerce, travel, or consumer internet products.
Why Join Us
- Work directly with Product, Design, and Engineering on a fast-moving AI-driven platform.
- Build strong product instincts early in your career.
- Be part of a high-growth startup with real customers, real scale, and no bureaucracy.
