POSITION SUMMARY
Performs repetitive line assembly operations to mass-produce accessories or gas and wood stoves/inserts.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Place parts in specified relationship to each other
- Fasten parts together using bolts, screws, cements, or other specified fasteners
- Operate pneumatic hoist to lift gas and wood stove parts
- Work at various work stations and on the line where tasks vary, based on model
- Apply touch-up paint as needed
- Work at different work stations as production needs require
- Work on line where tasks vary as different model of same article moves along line
- Maintain staging areas to keep traffic lanes open and minimize wasted space. This includes pallet and trash removal, euro crate breakdown, cardboard recycling, and emptying cardboard crusher when full
- REQUIREMENTS
- Work cooperatively with coworkers
- Meet attendance expectations
- Practice "Lean" processes unique to position
- Participate in Jotul Idea System
- Adhere to all safety guidelines, and actively participate in required programs such as ergonomic evaluations and daily stretch breaks
- Participate in the Employee Development Program

EDUCATION - High School education or equivalent GED
EXPERIENCE - No prior experience required
PHYSICAL DEMANDS - Candidates must be able to:
- Comprehend written and verbal instructions in English
- Constantly stand, handle/finger objects, and reach outward; frequently walk and reach above shoulders, and occasionally squat, kneel, and bend
- Lift/Carry 10 lbs or less frequently; 11-55 lbs occasionally
- Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (Steel toe shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection)
- See both near and distant, sense sound (85 decibels), and sense touch
- This position works mostly in a warehouse setting where temperatures seasonally can reach 90-100 degrees Fahrenheit
