About the Role

The Production Coordinator ensures seamless production flow by acting as the link between the Operations Manager, Scheduling, and workshop floor staff.

The role coordinates parts movement, monitors production progress, and ensures parts are available when and where required. With a strong presence on the floor, the Production Coordinator aligns planning with execution, enabling the business to meet quality, time, and efficiency objectives.

Description:
What a Day | Week looks like

Liaise between Operations Manager, Scheduling, and workshop team to ensure smooth execution.
Monitor and direct daily production schedules and progress.
Manage movement of Parts through all departments.
Continually conduct floor walks to identify bottlenecks restricting part movement between departments.
Maintain accurate records of parts and production status.
Report and coordinate with Scheduling daily on production status.
Escalate issues and communicate with Operations Manager as required.
Support continuous improvement in efficiency and workflow.
Champion the introduction of new barcoding product tracking.
Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety standards.

The Ideal Candidate

Cert III Mechanical Engineering, strong organisational skills, workshop/manufacturing knowledge, ability to interpret production schedules, effective communication, intermediate computer literacy.
Desirable: ERP/MRP system experience, Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma, forklift licence, Certificate or Diploma in Production Management or Supply Chain, inventory and workflow planning experience, quality assurance knowledge.
