Description:
Who we are looking for….
Our ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, proactive leader with the ability to manage a team in a fast-moving environment and drive the successful performance of production.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following components:

Support the Operations Manager in leading and managing the Production team, driving continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
Oversee daily production activities to ensure orders are picked, packed, and dispatched in full and on time
Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and legislative requirements across all production processes
Organising production activities ensuring objectives and targets are achieved within required time frames.
Manage quality control, grading, ripening, packing, weighing, and labelling of fresh produce
Maintain accurate inventory, reporting, and documentation, ensuring robust internal controls
Promote a safe, high-performance workplace aligned with company policies

Skills and Experiences:
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following capabilities:

Proven experience in a similar position and environment is essential.
A respectful and considerate leader with strong interpersonal skills.
Strong technical and industry knowledge including safety & quality standards, operational efficiencies and process orientated
Excellent leadership and problem solving skills - working with a wide range of people to drive team culture.
Proven results in effectively managing production costs, labour, scheduling and inventory.
Knowledge of machinery, equipment maintenance and manufacturing practices.
Be a champion of health & safety with a focus on continuous improvement.
