Job title: SHIFT PRODUCTION OPERATOR

Reporting to: Shift Manager

To achieve the required operational results and objectives through the efficient and effective running of the production plant. Operate plant in accordance with site and safety procedures.

Responsibilities are not fixed and will change over time and as the position evolves. The responsibilities listed below are not exhaustive. The Shift Production Operator is required to be flexible over the duties performed

- Ensure that the Company and legislative standards of Health & Safety and QA are upheld at all times

- Follow practices environmentally acceptable and be aware of the duties and obligations placed on the Company

- Operate the plant in a consistent and reliable manner through the appropriate use of tools (equipment, control systems). Suggest new ideas/improvements with the aim of operating in the most cost effective and efficient way

- Reports all relevant information in line with Company policy and procedures, including the completion of process documentation such as Batch sheets and Stock movement sheets. Be responsible for delivering accurate information during shift handover and provide all relevant information to responsible person of any deviant item/process found during the shift and eventual remedial action taken

- Ensure that process sampling is carried out in a timely manner and results are recorded appropriately

- Ensure that laboratory testing is carried out in accordance with the relevant Lab procedures

- Alert competent personnel in case of Lab equipment malfunction and take appropriate actions for not getting false results

- Be responsible for the upkeep of standards of housekeeping commensurate with safe and efficient operation of a chemical plant and participate for improving housekeeping

- Ensure that your actions do not compromise your safety or that of others or the environment
