Your role and responsibilities
The Marine & Ports Division serves the shipping and ports industries through its extensive portfolio of integrated systems and solutions that improve the flexibility, reliability and energy efficiency of vessels and container terminals. By coupling power, propulsion, automation, marine software and services that ensure maximum vessel uptime, the Division is well positioned to help the marine industry to achieve its decarbonization targets while improving the profitability and sustainability of our customers’ business throughout the entire lifecycle of vessels. With ABB Ability™ Marine software solutions and ABB Ability™ Collaborative Operations Centers around the world, shipowners and operators can run their fleets at lower fuel and maintenance costs, while improving crew, passenger and cargo safety as well as overall productivity of their operations. Further, the Division delivers automation, electrical systems and digital solutions for container and bulk cargo handling, from ship to gate. These solutions help terminal operators meet the challenge of larger ships, taller cranes and bigger volumes per call, and make terminal operations safer, greener and more productive. ABB is looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable Production Planner at ABB AS, Navy Production in Ulsteinvik in Norway. In this position you will be responsible for production planning, ensuring product and component availability and ensuring on-time customer delivery. You will collaborate closely with key stakeholders. Furthermore, you will establish a project schedule according to the business case strategies, both for early phase and execution. You will ensure that progress is achieved in accordance with project targets. An important part of your role will also be to participate in continuously improving our production planning processes and tools, and you need to proactively follow-up on progress. You ensure that order related production documents are up to date and that those are followed. To be able to enter this position, it will be a requirement that you can be security cleared in accordance with the Norwegian Security Act.
Qualifications for the role
- You hold a Bachelor- or a master’s degree in industrial management, Business Administration, Automation or another related field.
- You are a team player, and you have good communication skills and the ability to interact with stakeholders.
- You have a solution- and results-oriented approach and decision-making abilities.
- You have good Microsoft Office skills, and a few years of experience with Production Planning in SAP or in another ERP-system and Power BI are beneficial.
- Fluent written and spoken communication skills in Norwegian and English.
