Ex-Cel Plastics Ltd is a global plastics extrusion company based in Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan. We are seeking a Production Planner & Purchasing Executive to join our team. The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and monitoring production to ensure customer orders are delivered on time and in line with business requirements.

This role requires a highly organised individual with strong administrative and analytical skills. Excellent Microsoft Excel skills are essential, as Excel is a key tool used for production planning, stock management, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Production Manager to plan and schedule daily production.
  • Review customer orders and create production schedules to meet delivery deadlines.
  • Coordinate production activities in line with material and labour availability.
  • Monitor stock levels and identify purchasing requirements.
  • Process customer orders accurately using Sage.
  • Provide customers with delivery dates and shipping information.
  • Prepare invoices and shipping documentation.
  • Liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal departments to support efficient operations.
  • Conduct regular stock checks and stock counts.
  • Resolve customer queries relating to orders, deliveries, stock levels, and invoices.
  • Maintain accurate records and update internal systems and databases.
  • Assist the General Manager with administrative and ad hoc duties as required.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years previous experience in production planning, purchasing, administration, or a manufacturing environment is desirable.
  • Strong to advanced Microsoft Excel skills are essential.
  • Experience using Sage or a similar ERP system would be an advantage.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay: €38,000.00-€42,000.00 per year
