Summary

We are seeking an experienced Production Program Manager to oversee and optimize all programmed production scheduling across Bayview’s greenhouse operations. This role focuses on managing production systems, processes, and output rather than direct personnel supervision. Working cross-functionally, this role collaborates closely with Sales and Marketing to align production plans with customer needs, forecast demand, and provide detailed production reporting. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, a proactive approach to continuous improvement, and the ability to manage complex production programs.

Responsibilities

• Planning, coordination, and monitoring of all programmed production scheduling for every crop grown in the Bayview Greenhouse facilities.
• This includes implementing and modifying programmed production schedules and coordinating inter-departmental communications related to production planning and a detailed analysis of crop profitability, which fits with our current crop mix.
• Support the sourcing, purchasing, administration and coordination of logistical requirements for all plant materials, cuttings, bulbs, seeds, and plants to meet production needs.
• Monitor and track crop quality, staging, timing, and shrink.
• Coordinate the planning and scheduling of Greenhouse Management production meetings, including their facilitation.
• Be a lead working with the CFIA for the Greenhouse division.
• Recommend R&D projects for consideration under SRED.
• Participate in the implementation of approved Greenhouse operations R&D projects.
• Contribute to the implementation of special projects related to Greenhouse operations.
• Working closely with the Greenhouse and Sales Management Teams

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal customers and external suppliers
• Post-secondary education in business or horticulture
• Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel, and Outlook, database management)
• Strong greenhouse operational processes and production knowledge
• Experience with MS Navision would be an asset

Pay: $75,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
