Description:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• To roster, schedule and adjust production activities to meet difot and budget cost by maintaining safety standards.
• To supervise all processing/assembly/packing lines (PM hours) in high care and allergen room and Low risk.
• Operating machines (if required) and supervising, providing adequate training to the machine operators.
• To communicate production requirements to relevant workers to facilitate the achievement of objectives
• Promote, support and comply with relevant good manufacturing practice (gmp) and related food safety protocols and procedures.
• Provide adequate information, training and supervision for workers to support the delivery of objectives
• Monitor and support the adherence by workers to company procedures and guidelines for the use and maintenance of ppe (personal protective equipment).
• Preparing daily shift end report and sending to the relevant teams.

PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT

• Schedule regular machine equipment & tool maintenance to maximise optimum performance and production outcomes
• Proactively escalate potential issues, risks or equipment and tool hazards to the maintenance team/line manager
• Monitor production line deliverables, targets and efficiency measures
• Ensure capacity and resources match quality, production and customer specifications in a high-volume production area
• Implementing Quality systems in line with GMP and HACCP
• Monitoring quality requirements in terms of product, labelling and packaging to meet company and customer standards
• Working with high tech machinery, planning maintenance schedules, and troubleshooting problems as they arise.
• Coordinating and motivating the team to ensure an efficient operation
• Rostering workers and allocating tasks/activities to meet customer orders
• Trouble shooting technical and process issues and making recommendations for their improvement in the areas of process, productivity, quality, cost control and customer service
• Promoting a high-quality value-add culture and ensuring the maintenance of exceptional quality and food safety standards.
• Reporting on productivity on a daily basis

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT

• Supervise worker activities to achieve maximum efficiency and effectiveness in a manner that is consistent with the company people, performance and safety objectives.
• Analysing and recommending improvements to production processes and facilities.
• Ensuring employees comply with policies, procedures, rules and regulations.

WORKPLACE HEALTH AND SAFETY

• Ensuring that the company WHS requirements are followed.
• Reporting hazards to minimise risks to the health and safety of employees

OTHER

You may be required from time to time to perform related duties in other areas of the production function as required according to operational requirements.

• Monday to Friday, 2pm Start-10pm Finish.

Skills and Experiences:
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Knowledge of fresh produce production, packing/processing and machinery operation
• Experience in similar role supervising a production line in an FMCG or similar environment
• Demonstrated working knowledge of good manufacturing practices (GMP) and food safety standards
• Ability to supervise a diverse workforce to achieve production outcomes
• Good verbal and written communication skills including ability to provide feedback and guidance
• Ability to solve problem
• Understanding of, and commitment to workplace health and safety and ethical work practices
• Ability to support and comply with application legislation and company policies and procedures
