We are an innovative and growing company who is looking for 1 Production Supervisor (6 am to 2 pm shift) on a permanent, full-time basis.

Objective:
The Production Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the afternoon and evening production shift in our bakery. This hands-on role requires someone who will be present on the factory floor, prioritising compliance, technical standards, health & safety, food safety, quality, and production output. The Supervisor will ensure that the team works efficiently, maintains high standards, and meets production targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hands-On Leadership: Actively supervise and engage with production staff on the factory floor, ensuring smooth operation and high productivity during the 2pm-10pm shift.
- Compliance & Safety: Maintain strict adherence to all Health & Safety and Food Safety regulations. Ensure the shift team is trained and compliant, keeping all documentation up to date.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor production processes to ensure all products meet technical and quality standards. Take immediate corrective actions when quality or safety issues arise.
- Team Supervision: Lead and motivate the production team, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback. Organise staff assignments and ensure optimal use of personnel.
- Production Efficiency: Ensure production schedules are followed and that output is maximised without compromising quality. Manage resources efficiently and minimise wastage.
- Technical Oversight: Maintain technical standards, ensuring equipment is operated correctly and reporting any maintenance needs promptly.
- Health & Safety Leadership: Enforce safety procedures, conduct routine safety checks, and promote a culture of safety awareness among all team members.
- E-Commerce Fulfilment: Oversee the fulfilment of online orders during the shift, ensuring orders are accurately packed and dispatched on time.
Key Requirements:
- Experience: Previous experience in a hands-on supervisory role within a bakery, FMCG, food production, or fresh produce environment is preferred.
- Compliance Focused: Strong understanding of food safety and health & safety regulations, with a commitment to upholding these standards.
- Leadership Skills: Ability to manage and motivate a team, providing clear direction and ensuring high performance.
- Organised & Detail-Oriented: Extremely organised, with strong attention to detail and an ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Problem Solver: Resilient and solution-oriented, with the ability to handle challenges proactively.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively relay information and coordinate with the Production Manager and other departments.
- Hands-On Approach: Willingness to be actively involved in daily operations on the factory floor.

- Hours: 6 am to 2 pm
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £26,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
