Production Technician-Lamination/Sewing

Position: Lamination/Chain Stitch Sewing (Night Shift) Temporary

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:

The Production Technician I – Lamination/Chain Stitch Sewing is responsible for the operation and maintenance of lamination and chain stitch sewing equipment to ensure high-quality textile production. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting our production goals, maintaining product quality, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Hours of work: Monday – Friday, 12:15am – 8:15am


Key Responsibilities
:

  • Operate lamination and chain stitch sewing machinery in accordance with company standards and production schedules.
  • Inspect raw materials and finished products for quality and accuracy.
  • Label, and package materials
  • Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on equipment as needed.
  • Collaborate with other production team members to meet daily targets.
  • Ensure the safe operation of equipment and maintain a clean working environment.
  • Follow all safety protocols and company policies related to health and safety standards.
  • Record fabric meterage and store inspected materials for the Minifit-Photo-Optical Inspection.
  • Wind fabric/tape, inspect equipment, and package finished products from Ram machinery.
  • Complete production paperwork, data entry, and participate in safety meetings.
  • Read and respond to emails.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Clean, safe environment with high noise levels and varying temperatures.
  • General housekeeping and the ability to lift 50 lbs are required.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum Grade 12 or GED
  • Good communications skills and the ability to work as a part of a team.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite
