Production Worker

OFI is a top producer of smoked salmon, dedicated to quality and food safety. We are seeking a detail-oriented and team-driven Trimmer to join our Slicing Department. Key Responsibilities:

• Trim salmon fillets with precision, removing bruises, fat lines, and excess tissue.
• Track production batches, ensuring smooth and consistent workflow.
• Perform touch-up sharpening on knives for quality cuts and efficiency.
• Use cut-proof gloves and handle totes of smoked salmon fillets weighing up to 40 lbs.
• Feed trimmed fillets into slicing machines and monitor the process.
• Support smooth operations at the slicer and packing table.

Requirements:

• Complete and sign off on annual reviews of the sanitation program, SOPs, and OFI safety procedures.
• Ability to stand for extended periods in a refrigerated environment (appropriate undergarments recommended).
• Strong attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and the ability to work in a noisy, fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to follow directions, cooperate with team members, and uphold OFI’s quality and food safety standards.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
