Professional Handyman

About us

The Home Crafters LLC is a small handyman business that is family owned and operated .We are located in Leesburg, Va. and service all of the Loudoun County Area and some parts of the other surrounding counties. We do full service handyman items, carpentry as well as small remodels, etc...

Our Business is growing and we are looking to add a skilled handyman. In this position we are looking for someone who can work flexibly and is quick to adapt to situations. This could be in regard to last minute job change, scheduling change, etc... Sometimes it requires critical thinking skills and problem solving on a job site. There will be customer interaction so communication skills and professionalism are a must.

We do all sorts of handyman jobs, from Painting to Drywall, to Trim Repair, etc... We take on a lot of the small jobs that bigger companies do not do, such as hanging pictures and TVs. We sometimes do basic facelifts to bathrooms and kitchens. We also do custom carpentry. We don't expect our handymen to know how to do everything but this is also NOT an entry level position.

You must have the following skills

• Flooring Repair & Installation
• Drywall Repair and Patching
• Tile Installation
• Sanding, Prepping, Priming & Painting
• Installing Plumbing Fixtures
• Caulking & Grout
• Installing Light Fixtures
• Simple Tasks - Hanging TV, Pictures, Mirrors, etc...
• Carpentry Skills

Qualifications

• Must be extremally reliable (Punctuality is of utmost importance)
• Strong Communication Skills
• Great Work Ethic
• Follow all working safety Guidelines
• Ability to lift 60lbs
• Must be able to sit, stand, squat for periods of time
• Must be able to follow multi-step directions and complete them in the manner in which we require.

Requirements

• Must speak & understand English
• Pass a criminal background check
• Must have reliable transportation that can be used to transport you to and from jobs and have enough space to hold all equipment, up to a 5ft ladder
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Position based in Leesburg Va. - Must be within a reasonable commuting distance
• Authorized to work in the United States as a W-2 Employee
• High School Diploma or GED
• Higher Education or Trade Certification (Preferred)
• Must have a minimum of 2 years handyman experience or trade experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• No weekends
• Year round work
