Northern College is seeking a Professor, Community Services in our Early Childhood Education Program and possibly across other program areas in our Community Services department. The successful candidate will be a collaborative and student-centered educator who demonstrates strong interpersonal and communication skills, cultural competence, and the ability to foster inclusive, engaging learning environments, while being proficient in technology to support teaching and learning.

Reporting to the Dean, Business and Community Services the successful candidate will be expected to participate as a leader and effective team member working in groups at the college, create a positive teaching and learning environment, using a variety of strategies and materials in the multi-modal delivery of courses. The incumbent should embody a commitment to student success and professional development and demonstrate capacity for leadership in a multi-cultural organization. In addition, the successful candidate must ensure currency and relevance of the teaching material and assessment techniques, must participate in recruitment and program promotion initiatives, and participate in professional development activities at Northern College relevant to his/her own needs.

What you will need to be considered:
- Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or Bachelor of Arts, Early Childhood Education or a related/relevant field of study. Master’s degree in Education with Primary Specialization or Early Childhood Development preferred;
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working in and Early Childhood Education centre or teaching in an Early Primary Classroom; and
- Member in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators (RECE).
