Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Program Controls and Commercial Director to join our team.
Job Summary:
Program Controls is the application of Project Controls in a Program Management context. This includes the added complexity and interactions demanded from Programs such as Government legislation, Political obligations, Legacy creation, multi-partner KPIs, cross industry body creation and/or collaboration, finance partnering, contract incentivization and extensive stakeholder engagement.
Major Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of the Program Controls and Commercial Director include the following:
- Plays a pivotal role in navigating the intricate landscape of mega-sized programs, characterized by strategic significance, and elevated execution complexity.
- Enhances the Program Controls function and contributes to the overall success of the program through strategic leadership and effective coordination.
- Serves as the primary technical leader for program controls and is a recognized expert in their domain or specialty area such as Scheduling, Cost, Risk) as well as other areas such as Commercial and Procurement).
- Keeps up with the latest trends and standards in Program Controls and advises on how to update applications or tools accordingly. This helps AECOM stay ahead of the competition in terms of emerging technologies, delivery methods, funding mechanisms, geopolitical issues, or other relevant factors.
- Uses creativity, foresight, and mature judgment in anticipating and solving unprecedented technical problems within Program Controls.
- Develops and implements advanced resource allocation strategies, optimizing efficiency and productivity across the program.
- Develops, facilitates and implements innovative strategies to surpass program goals and contribute to organizational success.
- Provides technical expertise to global and region business lines, market sector and business development teams, suggesting approaches and differentiators where applicable.
- Provides visible industry and technical Program Controls leadership within and outside of AECOM.
Qualifications
In order to be considered for this position, candidates must possess, at a very minimum:
- A University Degree + extensive experience in Project Controls on large programs.
Demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including six (6) years of leadership, may be considered.
