Job Description

Seeking a junior, professional project manager to lead new product development projects for an onsemi business unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing programs that involve the development, qualification, and release of new products & IP projects. This person will lead cross-functional teams and meet project deadlines to maximize the ROI for new product releases. You will be responsible to plan, budget, oversee, drive execution, and document all aspects of new product development projects. You will be responsible to collect key data, promptly communicate project status and highlight to management team when project objectives are not being met. Qualifications

• Ideally Bachelor’s degree, preferably in electronics or related experience in working in semiconductor industry.
• Project management experience or in roles with strong project management component.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• Flexible in changing market environments, customer oriented.
• Able to travel and attend morning or evening conference calls.

Differentiators

• Proficient with Microsoft Project & MS-Office.
• First-hand knowledge of semiconductor new product development & manufacturing processes (design, fab, assembly, test, reliability).
• PMP certification.

Responsibilities

• Working in partnership with the Engineering Product Owner and Marketing Lead to drive the product development process: feasibility, planning, design, product validation, qualification, sampling, and product release.
• Managing NPD program: developing and maintaining project schedules, identifying and addressing gaps, and proactively assessing and mitigating risk throughout the execution.
• Lead cross-functional teams to ensure that development projects complete on schedule and within budget parameters.
• Present project plans and status to management, appropriately framing status, issues, and options.
