As a Program Manager in Strategic Performance Insights, you'll be at the forefront of optimizing Amazon's vast transportation network, focusing on delighting customers. Your role combines analytical prowess with collaborative leadership to influence critical network planning decisions through data-driven insights. Working with diverse teams across Supply Chain, Network Design, and Transportation Planning, you'll validate strategic initiatives, develop innovative performance metrics, and transform complex challenges into opportunities. Key job responsibilities - Develop and implement new strategic performance metrics and frameworks to assess network efficiency and effectiveness - Design and execute validation methodologies for network planning decisions, ensuring alignment with business goals - Create analytical models to assess plan viability and strategic alignment, driving continuous .improvement in our planning processes - Partner with End-to-End Supply Chain, Network Design, and Transportation Planning (STEP) teams, as well as Finance and Capacity teams, to establish data-driven feedback loops and influence planning decisions - Lead medium to large-scale analysis projects to inform strategic decisions, managing all aspects from planning to implementation - Generate actionable insights from complex data analysis, translating findings into clear recommendations for senior leadership - Collaborate with technical teams to automate data analysis and reporting processes, build performance measurement dashboards to provide visibility into key network metrics and improve efficiency and scalability A day in the life - Analyzing large-scale datasets to uncover network performance trends and opportunities - Partnering with Supply Chain, Network Design, and Transportation Planning teams to validate strategic initiatives - Developing new performance metrics that drive billion-dollar network decisions - Leading cross-functional projects that influence how we plan and optimize our transportation network - Presenting critical insights to senior leadership that shape strategic planning decisions - Collaborating with technical teams to scale and automate performance measurement solutions About the team We are a dynamic team within Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) Network Operations, dedicated to driving network planning excellence through data-driven validation and strategic insights. As the bridge between planning and execution teams, we ensure the optimization of one of the world's largest transportation networks. - Experience in driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience leading process improvements
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
- Master's degree, or MBA
- Programming proficiency in Python or R for data analysis and automation
- Experience with statistical analysis and data visualization tools
- Background in supply chain analytics, network optimization, or transportation planning
- Proficiency in an additional European Language, in addition to English (French, German, Italian, Spanish etc. )
