Primera Plastics, Inc. is a plastic injection mold facility currently seeking a motivated individual to join and strengthen our expanding engineering team. SUMMARY: This position is responsible for planning, leading, and organizing the APQP and new product launch functions within the organization. The primary focus is on developing new tooling that meets customer requirements while optimizing efficiency. Additionally, the position supports and facilitates assigned continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational excellence.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Responsible to lead and manage projects and programs as assigned.

· Main customer contact for all items in the launch phase as it pertains to customers' projects.

· Plan and develop methods, procedures and timing for implementation of assigned product launches, EC's, VAVE, and CI activities.

· Work closely with Operations, Engineering and Quality to provide consistent communications to the customer, ensure the project is on schedule, and maintain budget objectives.

· Maintain documentation including: open issues, timing, key contacts, EC history, tooling, cost data, customer development.

· Maintain quoting activities for assigned customer and programs.

· Responsible to ensure new tooling meets Primera’s Tool Design Standard.

· Interface with customer and suppliers as appropriate to improve or provide feedback on part, material, and tooling designs.

· Responsible for Program Launch Key Measures and results.

· Adhere to and implement procedures that are in the best interest of Primera.

Minimum requirements for position: Bachelor degree in Business, Engineering, or related field preferred. Relevant experience in related field will be considered. A minimum of (3 to 5) years of project management or related experience in engineering or manufacturing preferred. Previous experience in customer interface/account management, plastic processing, tooling engineering and GD&T in the plastic industry preferred.
