Are you driven to oversee and lead strategic initiatives with significant digital and commercial impact? We are looking for an experienced Programme Manager to join our PC Strategy Execution team in a pivotal role.

The position as Programme Manager is crucial for steering and delivering the commercial outcomes of the strategic change activities constituting the Danske Bank Forward 28’ Strategy.

You will be part of Strategy Execution Leads team with approximately 10 other Programme Managers. You will be working closely with various teams in Danske Bank, including Tribe Leadership and Advisory Support & Implementation to ensure effective implementation and alignment across business and support units. This position plays a vital role in coordinating and ensuring the end-to-end delivery on key milestones and objectives. It is a senior individual contributor role with professional leadership responsibility and no direct reports; you will lead critical priorities through stakeholder alignment and influence across teams.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end commercial delivery of the programme, tracking progress across both digital and non-digital deliveries

  • Plan, set direction and provide a holistic, long-term view of the programme

  • Identify and analyse risks, issues, and dependencies, and implement mitigation plans to protect timelines and deliverables

  • Define and monitor KPIs, milestones, and performance metrics to measure impact and ensure transparency

  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement by evaluating processes and recommending enhancements

  • Provide clear, timely status updates and decision material to key stakeholders, including executive leadership and programme sponsors

  • Manage a broad stakeholder landscape, including C-level and senior stakeholders across the organisation and locations


A great match

  • Minimum of 5 years of programme management. Experience in handling high complexity strategic initiatives from consultancy or financial services is required

  • Strong capability in structured planning, managing financial and non-financial performance metrices, risk management, and dependency mapping

  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to develop and present clear decision proposals in writing and verbally

  • Senior-level credibility, decisive presence, and experience in leading cross-functional teams

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to challenge stakeholders constructively and drive change

  • Fluency in Danish and English
