The opportunity

We have an opportunity for a Programs Lead to join the NSW EPA. In this role, you will manage a unit to design and deliver environmental policies, programs and projects that support the EPA’s and NSW Government’s strategic priorities. You will lead research and analysis, provide expert advice and recommendation to inform policy, strategy and program development, and implement innovative and practical solutions that contribute to improved environmental outcomes across NSW.

About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • Knowledge and experience in the development, implementation and review of strategic programs
  • Knowledge and experience in providing strategic advice related to government programs, projects and initiatives
  • Demonstrated experience in either project, contract or budget management or procurement
  • Sound understanding of the workings of government at a state and local level
  • Experience in managing staff, complex projects and setting priorities.

About the team
This role sits within the EPA’s Policy, Programs & Finance Division, which leads the design and delivery of key environmental policies, programs and strategic initiatives that support the EPA’s regulatory priorities and the NSW Government’s environmental agenda. You will be joining a passionate and high-performing division with a strong track record of delivering complex programs and innovative policy solutions, and a shared commitment to delivering meaningful environmental outcomes for the people of NSW.
