Tailor Your Resume for this Job

Step into a global role where projects, policy, and purpose meet. With strong project coordination skills and a keen interest in public policy and advocacy, you could be our next Public Affairs Project Coordinator helping shape healthier buildings with more daylight and fresh air for people around the world.

Meet your future team

You will join Global Public Affairs, a highly specialised team working across regions and disciplines to ensure that VELUX perspectives are visible and influential in policy discussions shaping the building sector.

The team operates in an international setup, collaborating closely with colleagues across Europe, North America, and Asia Pacific, as well as with technical experts, sustainability specialists, and communications professionals. You will report directly to the Global Public Affairs Director and play a central role in driving structured, cross‑functional projects that connect policy insight with strategic decision making at senior level.

What we offer

In this role, you will take ownership of Public Affairs projects that combine political analysis, stakeholder coordination, and executive communication. You will work in a trusted position with exposure across the organisation and the opportunity to influence how VELUX engages with policymakers and opinion formers.

More specifically, your tasks will be to:

  • Coordinate and drive Public Affairs projects from scoping to delivery, ensuring clear structure, progress, and high-quality outputs across multiple deliverables.
  • Analyse political, regulatory, and policy developments relevant to the building sector and identify opportunities, risks, and leverage points related to daylight, ventilation, and healthier buildings.
  • Translate complex technical and policy input into concise executive level insights, including briefings, speaking points, and decision ready materials for senior management.
  • Work closely with internal experts across Public Affairs, sustainability, technical teams, communications, and regions to build coherent policy narratives grounded in evidence.
  • Act as a trusted project partner by proactively engaging stakeholders, aligning expectations, and ensuring timely input and follow through.
  • Engage with external stakeholders such as industry bodies, research organisations, consultancies, and partners to support project objectives through structured collaboration.
  • Facilitate workshops and working sessions to frame issues, explore policy options, and align stakeholders on key messages and next steps.
  • Maintain strong project governance through clear planning, milestones, and risk awareness, and escalate when scope, priorities, or political context changes.

What you will bring

You bring a structured mindset, strong analytical skills, and an interest in public policy and advocacy. You are comfortable working across functions, translating complexity into clarity, and driving projects forward in an international setting.

Moreover, we expect that you:

  • Hold a relevant university degree in political science, public policy, international relations, economics, social sciences, or a related field.
  • Have 2-4 years of relevant professional experience from public affairs, public policy, government relations, consulting, think tanks, NGOs, corporate affairs, or a similar project-based environment. Experience with EU or national policy processes related to buildings, climate, energy, health, or sustainability is an advantage.
  • Have proven experience driving or coordinating projects across departments and managing multiple stakeholders and deliverables from planning to delivery.
  • Work in a structured and proactive manner, with strong prioritisation skills and the ability to maintain overview in complex settings.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical capabilities and experience working with research, data, or policy material to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities.
  • Have experience preparing briefings, presentations, or other material for senior decision makers.
  • Communicate clearly and confidently in English, both in writing and verbally, and can adapt messages to technical, political, and executive audiences.
