Project Engineer
Hybrid Role
Contract position until December 2026
**Role will suit graduate with co-op experience.
Position Summary:
As a Project Engineer within the R&D Engineering team, you perform design updates to our product from the Trauma & Extremities division.
What you will do:
The European Medical Device Regulation (EU MDR) requires a Data Matrix Code (DMC) on our medical products. As part of a global project team, you perform design updates in CAD (Creo / SolidWorks) to make our devices compatible with the latest regulations which ensures that we can continue to sell the products to our customers.
The job includes:
Implementation of drawing and model changes in CAD
Decision on the implementation of the proposed change in coordination with manufacturers (internal and sometimes external)
Decision and documentation of part marking exemptions
Application of different change management systems in our PLM systems
Communication across different functions, locations and cultures
Application of given procedures and instructions to provide a lean, robust and meaningful project documentation.
What you will need:
· Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related fields
· Experience in CAD applications (preferably Creo and/or SolidWorks)
· Basic knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
· Understanding of different materials and manufacturing technologies
· High level of English (oral and written)
· Ability to work in a global team across multiple time zones
