We are looking for a technically skilled and collaborative profile to support the integration of boiler systems in our EPC biomass projects. In this role, you will contribute to cross-disciplinary coordination, ensure technical consistency, and assist in aligning boiler-related solutions with project requirements

Project Engineer – Boiler
Help us shape the future of green energy
Do you want to play a key role in the green energy transition – and help shape how future biomass plants are designed and built? At Dall Energy, we are combining innovation, engineering excellence, and climate ambition to deliver cleaner, smarter energy solutions.

Across Europe, the demand for sustainable energy is accelerating. Cities and utilities are looking for alternatives that are not just greener, but also smarter and more financially viable. That’s where Dall Energy makes a difference. We design and deliver Combined Heat and Power plants powered by our patented gasification technology – a solution that outperforms conventional systems in both efficiency and flexibility.

Our plants are built to run reliably across the entire load range while using low-grade, cost-effective biomass fuels. It’s a technology that opens up new possibilities for sustainable energy – and sets the stage for ambitious engineers to contribute with practical, future-proof solutions.

We’re growing fast, and we’re now looking for a Project Engineer to join our technical team and contribute to the development and implementation of our boiler systems and related infrastructure. You’ll be working within a focused area of responsibility – yet closely connected to the broader engineering setup – helping to translate overall system concepts and standards into robust technical designs, supplier specifications, and reliable project execution on site.

What you’ll be working on

You’ll be involved in every stage of the boiler system scope – from developing and detailing standard technical solutions to engaging with suppliers, following up on deliveries, and supporting installation and commissioning. Together with your colleagues in the technical department, you’ll help turn system concepts and performance requirements into reliable, field-proven solutions that deliver under real-world conditions.

The systems you’ll work with include hot water boilers, piping for flue gas and pressurized media, as well as auxiliary systems like district heating loops, cooling circuits, and freshwater supply. Designing for high efficiency and long-term reliability means making the right technical choices – from flow design and component sizing to material selection and thermal protection – all while ensuring integration with the overall plant.

You’ll be part of a dedicated technical team where engineers, process specialists, designers, and project managers collaborate across disciplines. You won’t be starting from scratch. There is existing boiler expertise in-house, and you’ll be working closely with colleagues who know the systems – giving you both support and room to shape your own contribution.

Your main tasks and responsibilities include:

Develop and document standard technical solutions for boiler systems and related sub-systems, including ducts, piping, cooling, freshwater, and district heating
Prepare technical specifications and project documentation for key components such as boilers, heat exchangers, pumps, and pipework – including control, regulation, and monitoring aspects
Contribute to FAT and SAT processes by creating procedures, conducting selected tests, and ensuring supplier coordination from quotation to delivery
Support installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting, while capturing lessons learned and improving system design over time
What you bring to the table

You likely hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical, industrial engineering – or you’ve gained equivalent skills through hands-on experience. You have a strong understanding of technical specifications and are used to turning design intent into practical, buildable systems.

You bring:

Solid experience with boiler systems, thermal processes, or industrial utilities – including piping, flow systems, and installation principles
Skilled in developing standard solutions for control and monitoring, and experienced with technical documentation, compliance (incl. CE marking), and FAT/SAT procedures
Fluent in English – spoken and written; Danish and French are considered valuable assets

What it’s like to work with us

At Dall Energy, your expertise doesn’t disappear into a large matrix – it shapes real outcomes. We rely on your experience and professional assessment to help us build not just plants, but the way we work. As part of a small and highly skilled team, you’ll take on broad responsibilities and help define technical solutions, supplier collaborations, and internal standards in your area.

You’ll be involved in projects from early concept to commissioning and beyond – and your input will influence decisions, not just deliverables. We’re growing, and that growth depends on people like you: professionals who want to take ownership, make improvements, and contribute to how we develop as a company.

Where you'll work

Your workplace will be at our office in Hørsholm. Travel to suppliers, construction sites, and operating plants in Denmark and France should be expected – typically around 20–40 travel days per year.
