Introduction:
Regis Resources is an ASX publicly listed Perth based gold production and exploration company with a proven management team with a successful track record of developing mid-sized gold operations. It is a purely Australian gold miner with operations in Western Australia and New South Wales.

The current mine site locations are in the WA Goldfields region with multiple mining operations (both open pit and underground) as well as a number of satellite pits. Description:
The Opportunity

Reporting to the Manager Resource Development, the Project Geologist will work closely with members of the Exploration, Resource Estimation and Mining teams to safely execute the drilling programs and collect accurate and quality geological data.

As a key member of the Resource Development team, you will principally be responsible for planning and executing drilling and sampling programs to define and develop the Company’s mineral resources, as authorised by the Manager Resource Development.

This is a full-time site based role working on a FIFO 8:6 roster, at our Duketon operations near Laverton WA.

About the Role

Planning of infill and extensional resource definition drilling programs
Preparing documented work and drilling proposals
Prioritise work programs
Ensure work programs are carried out safely and efficiently
Ensure all data is accurate and validated prior to incorporation into database and models
Provide input to mineralisation delineation, resource assessment, and geological modelling
Report drill results or significant finds to management promptly
Production of internal and external technical reports as required.

Skills and Experiences:
About You

Incumbents should hold a tertiary degree in Geology
At least 5+ years' professional experience in orogenic gold systems
Demonstrated experience with RC and diamond core drilling and geological logging
Knowledge of resource estimation processes preferred
Sound knowledge of mineral systems, especially orogenic gold
Sound understanding of secondary mineralisation processes
Understanding of, and prioritising projects based on technical and commercial risks
Proficient with GIS and 3D software packages.
