Job Title: Project Manager – Construction

Location: Hollywood, FL (serving Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties)

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Project Manager to join our team and manage construction projects across Miami-Dade and Broward counties.

Job Description:

The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction projects from inception to completion. This includes managing the project team, coordinating with subcontractors and vendors, ensuring compliance with local building codes and inspection processes, and ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the construction industry, particularly in the South Florida region, with experience in navigating local building codes, permits, inspections, and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning & Execution: Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and work schedules. Oversee the entire project lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery of each milestone.
  • Team Management: Supervise and coordinate all project team members, subcontractors, and vendors. Provide leadership and guidance to ensure team members meet project objectives and quality standards.
  • Cost Control: Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and mitigate any financial risks.
  • Building Code Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with the building codes and regulations specific to Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties. Stay updated on changes to local codes, permitting processes, and inspection requirements.
  • Permit & Inspection Coordination: Manage the process of obtaining necessary permits and approvals, working closely with local authorities. Coordinate and schedule inspections, ensuring all aspects of the project meet regulatory standards.
  • Quality Control & Safety: Monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and project specifications. Implement and enforce site safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Management Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, designers, engineers, and local authorities. Maintain clear and consistent communication to keep management informed of project progress and address any concerns.
  • Problem-Solving: Proactively identify potential issues or delays and develop solutions to keep the project on track. Resolve conflicts or challenges that arise during the project.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry, with a strong focus on residential and/or commercial projects in South Florida.
  • Local Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of the building codes, permitting, and inspection processes for Miami-Dade and Broward counties. Familiarity with local regulations and zoning laws is essential.
  • Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar construction management certifications are a plus. OSHA certification and other safety-related certifications are highly desirable.
  • Skills:
  • Strong project management and leadership abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and best practices
  • Proficiency in project management software (Procore, Buildertrend, Microsoft Project)
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and blueprints
  • Exceptional problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $120,000.00 per year
