The Role

We are seeking a highly capable Project Manager based in Sligo to lead the delivery of a teacher training programme. This role is operational at its core and requires full ownership of execution.

You will be responsible for ensuring that all programme elements are aligned, delivered on time, and meet Lakeland’s quality standards. This is not a coordination role — it is an execution role with full accountability.

Key Responsibilities

• Full operational ownership of the programme in Sligo
• Coordination and management of all stakeholders:
• Teachers and academic staff
• External speakers and trainers
• Service providers and partners
• Programme planning, scheduling, and real-time execution
• Immediate resolution of operational issues and incidents
• Ensuring a seamless participant experience throughout the programme
• Maintaining direct communication with Lakeland’s central team
• Supervising on-the-ground teams where required

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience in project management roles with operational responsibility
• Demonstrated experience leading teams and managing people under pressure
• Strong execution mindset — ability to solve problems fast and independently
• Based in or with deep knowledge of Sligo and surrounding area

Valued Experience

• Background in the education sector
• Experience with language immersion programmes or international student mobility
• Previous involvement in training or academic programme delivery
