Project Manager
Introduction to the Company
Mbryonics is at the forefront of free space optical communications. Our product portfolio covers a wide range of emerging technologies from photonic integrated circuits to advanced optical systems and embedded software solutions. Our optical communications systems are integrated and deployed in satellite communications systems. The work is exciting and challenging and is at the forefront of the technology domains.
We are currently looking for a dynamic and motivated Project Manager to help deliver on our space communication programmes

Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for project planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting, while ensuring effective communication amongst internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate should have a strong portfolio in managing technology projects in a R&D environment..
Key Responsibilities

Manage complex multi-faceted projects within the Agile framework, working alongside Product Owners and Technical Leads

Develop and maintain project plans, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables.

Monitor and control project progress, identify risks and issues, and proactively develop solutions.

Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure collaboration and timely execution of tasks.

Manage project communication, including status reporting, stakeholder management, and escalation of issues as needed.

Ensure project goals, objectives, and requirements are met while adhering to industry regulations and standards.

Manage budgeting and financial tracking, including budget forecasts.

Develop and implement change management plans as necessary, and in accordance with the Contract

Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices in project management and agile working.

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in project management, preferably in the telecommunications, space or technology industry or regulated manufacturing.

Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects within scope, budget, and timelines.

Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.

Experience in risk management, change management, and stakeholder management.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation and facilitation skills.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

Proficiency in project management software.

Nice to Have

Master's degree in Space Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.

Familiarity with ECSS (European Co-operation for Space Standards) and Aerospace standards

Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification

Working with JIRA/Scrum Methodologies

Experience working in a research or development environment.

A technical background

Knowledge of relevant space technologies and industry trends.
