Project Manager, Clean Energy, Apac Energy & Water
- Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) required - Economics/Engineering/Business - 8+ years of relevant experience in APJC energy markets, energy trading, renewable energy contract negotiations, energy regulations, renewable energy project development, or energy generation technologies; - 5+ years of relevant experience working in 24/7 (clean) power generation industry in APJC - Proven track record in energy contract negotiations and project management

A day in the life You will source, qualify and develop an inventory of go-to solutions for the APJC region, while diving deep into the implications of policy changes, optimising cost and working with Data Centre Infra teams to deliver solutions on time. Function Specific Responsibilities: - Execute Amazon’s power generation projects in APJC - Analyse policy trends and regulations in the energy space to proactively identify opportunities and optimise energy solutions - Work collaboratively with the Infrastructure team to support the development of data centres - Manage energy projects against plans and objectives to ensure commitments are met, delivering against cost savings goals - Be a passionate self-starter and forward thinker, and develop scalable programs - Lead and facilitate business review meetings on a weekly/monthly/quarterly basis About the team About AWS Diverse Experiences AWS values diverse experiences.   • Master’s Degree (MBA/MS)
  • Experience with solution mapping, permitting and execution of bespoke 24/7 (clean) power generation solutions in industrial and near residential zones
  • Proven ability to evaluate new energy markets, utility tariffs, policies, power contracts, or evaluating new energy sourcing opportunities and technologies
  • Familiarity with electricity markets, renewable project development, power forecasting and scheduling, portfolio management theory, advanced energy storage, or alternative energy resources
  • Experience building relationships and working with industry stakeholders, such as utilities, energy regulators, project developers, project investors, and OEMs
