Job Description
You will be responsible for the successful delivery of the electrical and control systems packages for a project — from technical and budget sizing, through the design phase, all the way to commissioning at the client’s site.
What will you do eaxctly ?
- Analyse client specifications,
- Prepare technical and budget proposals based on supplier pre-consultations and feedback from previous projects,
- Define project work packages,
- Draft specifications for different packages and produce basic design documents (power balance, single-line diagrams, I/O lists, instrument lists and specifications, etc.),
- Contribute to functional studies,
- Work with the Purchasing team to consult suppliers and monitor progress,
- Manage allocated budgets and control any changes,
- Maintain regular contact with the client and document all meetings,
- Provide feedback on the entire project to improve processes.
Your Team
You will join a team of two Project Managers and one Technical Lead, reporting to the EIA Department Manager. Your main contacts will include Bid Managers and Project Managers.
Your Environment
Working within the “New Energies” Business Unit, you’ll collaborate with major energy producers in mainland France and overseas territories. Integrated into a multidisciplinary project team (project managers, process engineers, designers, etc.), you’ll be responsible for the electrical scope — from high-voltage distribution to equipment power supply and control systems.
Qualifications
You hold a technical degree at Bachelor’s or Master’s level (engineering school or university, specialising in industrial or mechanical engineering) and have initial experience in an industrial environment. You also bring strong expertise in electrical systems, industrial IT, and automation.
We are looking for profiles with experience in turnkey industrial projects (EPC: Engineering, Procurement and Construction), particularly in thermal power plants (biomass, waste-to-energy, or SRF – Solid Recovered Fuel).
You work well in a team and demonstrate project management skills. In addition, you can articulate a strategic vision regarding the challenges and priorities of an industrial project. Constructive communication is key, and you are comfortable using professional English.
Finally, adaptability, team spirit, and technical curiosity will help you thrive in this pivotal role.
