Project Manager

This position is full-time and will be based out of either Lloydminster or Wainwright.

We are seeking a Project Manager to lead industrial projects from estimate to close-out. This role requires someone who is an excellent organizer and communicator. The role is best suited to someone who has thrived in the field, enjoys problem-solving, and has good computer skills, and is comfortable managing several projects and disciplines simultaneously.

The successful candidate will be responsible for taking a project from cradle to grave by setting and managing the project budget, RFI, CO, execution plan, schedule, and site activities. The candidate will communicate these plans directly with both the client and the on-site leadership.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Estimating: Review RFP documents, perform quantity take-off’s, contact subcontractors, apply productivity factors and crew to estimate, create schedule, project execution plan, and submit estimate to client.
  • Construction Management: Line up the appropriate labour, equipment, and materials necessary for successful execution of the project. Create RFI’s and CO’s as necessary to support efficient field execution. Create and submit shift reporting packages including schedule and budget tracking.
  • BD & Relationship Management: Maintain positive relationships to secure prospects for Davco’s long term success. Seek feedback and communicate appropriately. Seek new opportunities for the continued growth of the company. Be engaged, visible and accessible to stakeholders.
  • Safety: Promote Davco’s Safety Policies and Procedures. Lead by example, demonstrating desired behaviors and attitudes.
  • Culture: Create and foster a safe, collaborative, respectful culture and working environment enabling the team to achieve the company’s strategic objectives.

Skills

  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to organize construction projects and think ahead
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to lead and Motivate field crews and subcontractors effectively.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience relating to facility construction.
  • Education including Journeyman or Post-Secondary education an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of construction practices, scheduling, and cost control.
  • Valid Class 5 license required; with acceptable drivers abstract.
  • Industry standard HSE courses for a leadership position required.
