We are now looking for a Security Specialist to join our Project Security team

As a Project Security Specialist, you will participate in ensuring the security and compliance of our research projects. This position serves as an excellent entry point for a career in security, offering hands-on experience and professional development opportunities.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Overseeing and supporting security management of research projects on your responsibility respectively.
• Participating in the development of security management processes and ensuring our compliance with customer requirements.
• Supervise subcontractors and manage their workforce.

In addition, you will:

• Collaborate with other security specialists and teams across the organization to maintain a robust security posture.
• Occasional travel to VTT's premises, as required by the demands of the job.

Who we are looking for:

• You have at least a bachelor’s degree in, for example, security and risk management, or a related field.
• You have a basic understanding of security and risk management best practices. Basic understanding of information security management will be seen as an asset.
• You are fluent in Finnish and English and have excellent communication, problem-solving and teamwork skills.
• Experience of security best practices or standars/frameworks/tools such as ISO27001, NIST or Katakri 2020 will be seen as an asset.
