Job Summary
West Construction is hiring an experienced Project Superintendent to lead commercial construction projects throughout the Tulsa/Owasso area and across Oklahoma.
We are looking for a proven field leader who can own a jobsite, not just watch one. This is not an entry-level superintendent role. We are looking for someone with real commercial construction superintendent experience who can manage subcontractors, coordinate schedules, communicate clearly, enforce safety, maintain quality, and keep projects moving.
Our work includes commercial ground-up construction, industrial, multifamily, and office/flex projects. The right candidate will be comfortable leading daily field operations, working with project managers, coordinating multiple trades, solving problems in the field, and representing West Construction professionally with owners, architects, engineers, inspectors, subcontractors, and internal team members.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily on-site construction operations from mobilization through closeout
- Manage subcontractors, suppliers, deliveries, inspections, and field personnel
- Coordinate project schedule, manpower, sequencing, logistics, and daily workflow
- Work closely with the Project Manager to maintain schedule, budget awareness, and project priorities
- Review plans, specifications, shop drawings, RFIs, and field conditions
- Coordinate structural, architectural, civil, and MEP scopes
- Lead subcontractor coordination meetings and maintain short-term look-ahead schedules
- Enforce OSHA requirements and company safety standards
- Maintain high standards for quality, workmanship, cleanliness, and jobsite professionalism
- Communicate clearly with owners, architects, engineers, inspectors, subcontractors, and internal leadership
- Maintain daily reports, photos, manpower logs, delivery records, safety documentation, punch lists, and closeout items
- Identify conflicts, constructability issues, delays, and cost impacts early
- Help create a jobsite culture built around accountability, safety, schedule, and quality
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of commercial construction superintendent experience
- Proven experience leading commercial jobsite operations
- Experience with commercial ground-up construction
- Strong understanding of commercial building systems, plans, specifications, and sequencing
- Ability to coordinate multiple trades and phases of work at the same time
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to hold subcontractors accountable while maintaining professional relationships
- Valid driver’s license
- Willingness to travel to projects around Oklahoma as needed
- OSHA 30 certification preferred, or willingness to obtain
- Procore experience preferred
Preferred Experience
- Industrial, office/flex, multifamily, or commercial ground-up project experience
- Experience managing multiple subcontractors and complex project schedules
- Familiarity with Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and construction scheduling tools
- Experience coordinating inspections and working with local jurisdictions in Oklahoma
- Trade background or construction management background is a plus
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive compensation based on experience and project background
- Company truck provided
- Gas card
- Health, dental, and vision benefits
- Paid time off
- Paid holidays
- 401(k) with company match
- Logo apparel
- Training and professional development opportunities
- Long-term advancement opportunity with a growing Oklahoma construction company
Work Environment
This is a field-based position. The Project Superintendent will work on active construction sites and should be comfortable working in Oklahoma weather conditions, walking jobsites, climbing, standing for extended periods, coordinating with field personnel, and handling the daily demands of commercial construction.
Some travel around Oklahoma may be required depending on project location.
Who We Are Looking For
The right person for this role is organized, dependable, direct, and proactive. You should be comfortable making decisions in the field, communicating problems early, pushing schedule, managing subcontractors, and taking pride in finished work.
This role is best suited for someone who has already proven they can run commercial construction projects and is looking for a company where leadership, accountability, and craftsmanship still matter.
