Project/Program Manager I (Contingent)

Please note that this is a contract role providing services to Amazon via Allegis Global Solutions. If you are selected for this role, you will be employed by AGS and will not be an employee of Amazon.

The team is seeking candidates with experience in either project engineering, process engineering or hands-on engineering that is customer facing. They need someone who is going to be able to be an extension of their full-time team on site and help manage stakeholder relationships, earn trust, and ensure a smooth integration of technology on site. Historically, we have placed consultants with an engineering background who have worked with automation and have experience interacting with customers in a manufacturing setting.

The team is open to years of experience and rates being reflected accordingly. The biggest thing for these roles is alignment to the leadership principles – ability to earn trust, bias for action, customer obsession and insist on highest standards.

Focus of this role – ToteASRS Solution (Tote Automated Storage and Retrieval System) – new fulfillment solution coming out of Amazon Robotics (end to end solution – rethinking mobile robotics bringing inv to pickers)

Summary of both roles – PPMI as what they call product launch engineer – on site running test cases, doing day to day coordination of testing on-site – making sure inventory is correct, test execution – would take direction from HM and PPMIII – co-owned work

Location: Onsite, Virginia Beach, VA

Contract Length: 12 Months

Pay Range: $33 - $36 per hour
