Property Services - Facility Coordinator

The Dunedin City Council (DCC) takes great pride in delivering a broad range of services to the communities of this unique and fascinating city. The Asset and Facilities Management Team is responsible for the operations and maintenance of the City's property network. We manage a dynamic portfolio including commercial buildings, community housing, carparks, industrial and civic buildings. We are seeking a dynamic, motivated and high-performing person for the role of Facilities Coordinator.

The purpose of the role is to deliver operational performance by:

  • Issuing works orders, purchase orders, invoicing and financial tracking
  • Scheduling visits, liaising and communicating with various contractors
  • Reporting on progress and taking proactive steps to inform and resolve outstanding or overdue work.
  • Communicating with customers while building and maintaining strong relationships
  • Providing a high level of customer service internal and external stakeholders
  • Identifying opportunities to improve systems and processes.
  • Ensuring the HSE obligations of contractors are being met
  • Retaining critical information while monitoring and reporting on the current status of dispatched work and tasks

The successful applicant will have good interpersonal skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, be well organised, and focused on delivery of services to a high standard.

Ideally you will bring knowledge and understanding of facilities, plant, equipment and maintenance. The ability to multi-task, remain focused under pressure whilst maintaining a keen eye for detail and a problem-solving mindset.

Salary range $64,702 - $76,120
