About The Position
Join Optibus as a Proposal Manager and play a vital role in shaping our future and driving our success as we continue our rapid growth. In this role, you’ll be at the heart of our customer acquisition strategy, leading bid and proposal efforts that make a direct impact on bringing in new clients. You’ll work alongside passionate, supportive colleagues across Sales, Customer Success, and Leadership teams, as well as with our valued partners, in an environment that values teamwork and collaboration.
As our Proposal Manager, you’ll showcase the powerful capabilities and value of the Optibus platform by crafting compelling responses to RFIs and RFPs. This is your chance to communicate the unique advantages of our platform, ensure our responses meet client requirements, and highlight how Optibus stands out in providing innovative and effective solutions.
Your expertise will not only help prospects understand how Optibus can meet their needs but will also establish you as a trusted partner in their decision-making process. In addition to developing a deep understanding of Optibus’ offerings, you’ll manage the full proposal lifecycle, from message development to compliance and pricing. Your work will play a pivotal role in demonstrating our commitment to client success and delivering on our promises. This is a fully remote position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Understand Customer Needs: Dive deep into customer needs and challenges, collaborating closely with Sales and Application Engineering teams to craft a written response that resonates and adds value.
- Tailored Solutions: Deliver RFP responses that directly address customer pain points and showcase how Optibus can effectively solve their specific challenges. By presenting compelling use cases, you’ll demonstrate why Optibus is the best fit.
- Proposal Strategy & Compliance: Lead the proposal lifecycle, ensuring all responses are compliant, timely, and aligned with customer requirements, so our proposals stand out.
- Client-Focused Collaboration: Partner with Sales to shape account strategies, identify growth opportunities, and provide trusted guidance, strengthening relationships with both new and existing clients.
- Opportunity Qualification: Support Sales in assessing and qualifying new leads using Optibus’ strategic approach, ensuring that we focus on high-impact prospects.
- Efficient Response Process: Build the foundation for swift and effective proposal responses, enhancing efficiency while maintaining high standards.
- Content Coordination: Work closely with Marketing to keep proposal materials updated as our product evolves, so every proposal reflects the latest features and benefits.
- Centralized Resources: Manage our sales enablement content repository, ensuring that all resources are organized, accessible, and available when needed.
- Seamless Salesforce Management: Update Salesforce opportunities related to proposals, streamlining the sales cycle and supporting data-driven insights.
- Pricing Compliance: Ensure every proposal meets internal pricing standards and governance, protecting both client trust and company interests.
- Create & Refine Content: Use your writing and editing skills to create proposal content that’s clear, persuasive, and tailored to client needs, strengthening our message and our value.
Requirements
- You have 3+ years of experience in bids and proposals, ideally within public transportation or a similar industry, where you’ve honed your ability to craft compelling, solution-focused proposals.
- Experience in SaaS is a great advantage here, as it will help you quickly grasp and convey the unique benefits of our platform to prospective clients.
- You’ve written and managed proposals for government clients, giving you the insight needed to navigate these processes successfully.
- You have demonstrated the ability to understand clients needs and how your solution addresses their needs, with a genuine enthusiasm for writing bids and proposals that showcase impactful solutions.
- You’re an excellent communicator who can present technical solutions clearly to both small and large audiences, confidently engaging with everyone from teammates and partners to C-level executives.
- You bring advanced critical thinking skills and a knack for troubleshooting, so you can tackle challenges and refine proposals to meet high standards.
- You thrive in dynamic environments, multitasking with a high sense of urgency and actively connecting with both customers and colleagues to keep everything on track.
- French and Spanish fluency is a plus but not required.
