Psychologist - Sydney, Nova Scotia
This role can be a hybrid model of in clinic service provision as well as virtual service provision from home.
Full-time (preferred). Will consider part-time or Independent Contractor.

As a Psychologist with our CBI Health Rehabilitation team, your role would entail delivering high-quality clinical services to patients referred for psychological support. This encompasses consultation, evaluation, assessment, diagnosis, interventions, and monitoring progress and outcomes. You will complete diagnostic assessments with a diverse range of clients who are experiencing complex mental health concerns due to work-related events. Common presenting concerns include work place trauma, adjustment disorder, and gradual onset stress. You will be the first step in the process which will guide a team of skilled clinicians towards a best practice outcome in a client-centered organization that is focused on functional occupational rehabilitation. All while enjoying administrative support including psychometric support for administering formalized testing, and administrative support for booking and confirming client appointments.
Your caseload will comprise individuals who have either self-referred or been referred by physicians, third-party payers, or public agencies. Additionally, you'll collaborate closely with clients from Workers' Compensation Board (WCB) programs, disability insurers, and motor vehicle accident (MVA) insurers.
To thrive in the role of Psychologist, you must:
- Be currently or eligible to be registered with the Nova Scotia Board of Examiners in Psychology.
- Maintain individual professional liability/malpractice insurance.
- Demonstrate relevant clinical practice experience, including proficiency in assessing and delivering appropriate psychological interventions across a spectrum of conditions.

Exhibit the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Demonstrate efficiency and responsiveness in completing necessary clinical documentation.
Encouragement of membership in the Association of Psychologists of Nova Scotia (APNS) is provided.
