Job Description

Job Title: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Long Term Care (LTC)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our Long Term Care (LTC) facility. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide rehabilitation services to residents in a long-term care setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of geriatric care and a passion for helping others improve their quality of life.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Assist in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans for residents
• Conduct therapeutic exercises and activities to improve mobility, strength, and coordination
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
• Educate patients and their families on exercises and techniques to continue rehabilitation outside of therapy sessions
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for residents

Qualifications and Skills:

• Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program
• Valid PTA license in the state of practice
• Previous experience working with geriatric populations preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• CPR certification required
