Metis Rail are currently recruiting for an experienced PTS Steel Fixer for a rail infrastructure project around the Roscrea area.

This position is self-employed and offered on a fixed 4-month contract, starting January 2026.

Scope of Works

• Steel fixing works on a live rail infrastructure project
• Working to drawings and site specifications
• Compliance with rail safety rules and site procedures
• Working as part of a site team under supervision

Essential Requirements

• Valid PTS (Personal Track Safety) – essential
• Proven experience as a Steel Fixer
• Experience on rail or civil engineering projects
• Strong safety awareness and ability to follow site procedures
• Right to work in Ireland

The works will be undertaken midweek nights and potentially weekends.

Midweek Nights - €32ph

Weekends - €38ph

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: €32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 64 per week
